Shaker Road Loudonville Fire Department's Explorer Post 475 (located in the Town of Colonie in Upstate NY) isn’t just any Explorer Post. It’s the Explorer Post. In fact, it's been declared the best Explorer Post on the planet. Just ask its members (I’m one of them, so I can confirm). 

Post 475 has been operating since 1975 and is one of the oldest continuously operating posts in the USA!!!

It has trained more than 1,000 citizens in its 50 years in operation.
